Hair Transplant Surgery....
The principal behind hair transplant surgery stems from the permanency of some hair. While some hair on your scalp has a transient life span, other hair tends to endure for a lifetime. It was found that permanent hair could be moved to any part of the body where it can continue to grow and behave as if it were still in its original site.
A hair transplant is a safe, minor surgical procedure that involves removing donor hair from the back or sides of the scalp (donor area) and placing them into the bald or thinning areas of the scalp (recipient area).
FUE ( Procedure)
Today's optimal follicular unit procedure FUE enables a patient to achieve extremely natural results because it recreates and mimics the way a person’s hair grows naturally, hair for hair.
The most important difference between Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) and the Strip Method is the technique used for extracting the follicular units.
With FUE, a specialized punch with less than 1mm diameter is used to extract the hair from the scalp.
The main advantage of this technique is that follicular units are extracted directly form the scalp rather than in larger groups, which obviates the utilization of scalpel and stitching.
FUE, enables the surgical team to offer small Hair Transplant sessions up to1500 grafts, especially to patients who are in initial stages of hair loss and might need to cover only their hairline or temporal area. It is also the ideal technique for patients who want to shave their heads since it leaves no visible scarring in the donor area.
FUE Eyebrows
The FUE hair transplant method is used for replacement or enhancement of eyebrows. Eyebrows play an important role in the proportions and appearance of the face. Lack of eyebrows can detract from ones appearance.
A lack of eyebrow hair is often caused by over-zealous plucking or treatment. It can also be caused by hereditary factors or medical illness. The hair transplant can be done on top of permanent makeup or tattoo makeup. It is done for both men and women. The shape and thickness of the result is of course up to you.
The treatment is commonly done at our clinic and is quite straightforward and is permanent. It may requires in the range of 100-500 FUE grafts (2 hairs per graft). The grafts are taken from the back of the head as with other FUE transplants. The transplanted hair will continue to grow and will require to be trimmed more than original eyebrow hair.
Strip (Procedure)
The Strip Harvesting technique involves removing the follicular units to be transplanted as one group, from the donor area. By this way the follicular units are kept intact in their genetic form and prevent the individual hair follicles from being damaged. Each follicular unit contains one to four hairs, the average being 2.2 hairs per follicular unit.
These follicular units are then dissected with great care under microscopes equipped with fibre optics so as to avoid the application of heat to the follicles. These follicular units are preserved in a special solution at the right temperature until the doctor prepares the recipient sites on the patient. They are then placed with great care in to the bald or thinning areas of the scalp, called the recipient area.
Strip Mega Sessions ( STRIP)
Many patients, desire to achieve as much coverage as possible in their thinning areas in one session. This can only be achieved if a high number of hairs are available in the donor area with sufficiently high density and skin laxity.
By our world-class standards, we consider a Mega Session to be between 2,000 to 3000 grafts.
Scarless Hair Transplant (STRIP)
'Trigrowthic Closure'
The traditional disadvantage of the strip harvesting technique is that it tends to leave a linear scar on the donor area. This scar in the hands of non-experts can be as wide as 3-10mm, which prevents the patients from using very short to short hair styling options.
In the hands of our expert team, this linear scar has a width of only 1-3mm and allowing the patient to have short hairstyles.
The new"Trigrowthic Closure" is now offered as the standard closure to all strip method hair transplant patients at no extra cost with amazing results. This involves a triple closure of the donor site after the removal of the epithelium on the lower edge. The results are very encouraging even in Mega Sessions.
